“Professional Development Fund”
What is the “Professional Development Fund”
A grant/scholarship program to assist in and encourage the professional development of state association executives; a program to encourage and stimulate creative thought and knowledge about association management in order for all members of FIAE to become “the best they can be.”
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Any state association executive that is a member of FIAE.
Criteria
Criteria would be based on raising professional standards for FIAE members.
What type of professional development projects or programs would be eligible for a grant?

Grant Assistance for pursuing the “Certified Association Executives’ certification, up to $500.

Speakers, workshops, or educational courses that are innovative and would bring knowledge and information back to all state association executives for improving the way they manage their association;

Assistance in helping a state association executive with expenses to FIAE’s Conference if need exists.
Where would be Funds Come From
To initiate the “Fund”, $5,000 will be set aside from FIAE’s Scholarship Fund which currently consists of $15,000. Each year the “Fund” and the program will be evaluated by the Board to measure its success and the need to allocate additional funds.
Who will Screen the Requests and Grant Approvals
The President of FIAE, together with the current Chair of the “Professional Development Fund” Committee. An Annual Report will be filed with the Board of Directors.
